Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your Pregacoach account and personal data at any time by sending us a verified request. Here is exactly how, what gets removed, and what we must keep by law.
Last updated 19 June 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Overview
This page explains how to delete your Pregacoach account and the personal data associated with it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Google Play and Apple App Store account-deletion requirements.
Deletion applies to the account you created on the Pregacoach mobile app (Android / iOS) and web application, and to the dependent profiles (such as a spouse or newborn) you manage under that account. Read this together with our Privacy Policy.
2. How to delete your account
To delete your Pregacoach account and personal data, send us a verified deletion request:
- Email [email protected] from the email address or phone number registered to your account.
- Use the subject line “Account deletion request” so we can route it quickly.
- We verify your identity before acting, then schedule your account for deletion.
This covers your account on the Pregacoach mobile app (Android / iOS), the web app at app.pregacoach.com, and the dependent profiles you manage.
3. If you cannot access your registered email or phone
If you no longer have access to the email address or phone number registered with your account, still write to [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will ask for additional details to confirm you own the account before acting on the request, so your account stays protected.
4. What is deleted
On a verified deletion request we permanently remove, or irreversibly anonymise:
- your profile and login credentials, and the dependent profiles you manage;
- your contact details, clinical profile and saved preferences;
- documents and reports you uploaded, and tele-consultation recordings;
- your device push-notification tokens and session data.
Once deletion completes you can no longer sign in, and the data above cannot be recovered.
5. What we must retain (and for how long)
A limited set of records is retained where the law requires it, even after your account is deleted. While retained, this data is access-controlled, encrypted and not used for any other purpose:
- Prescriptions and consult records — kept for seven years as required by the NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 and Indian medical record-retention norms.
- Financing records — if you applied for EMI/financing, the NBFC retains its records for the period RBI/KYC rules require. That data sits with the NBFC.
- Transaction and tax records — minimal payment/invoice metadata retained to meet accounting, tax and audit obligations.
When the statutory period ends, the retained data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. How long it takes
We acknowledge a deletion request within 48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying it. Encrypted backups that may still contain your data are rotated out on our standard backup cycle, after which no copy remains except the statutory records described above.
7. Questions
For any question about deletion or your data rights, contact our Grievance & Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
